Episode 89: It’s All Fun and Games Until Someone Loses an Eye (Part 3)
Editor: Annie LaHue
Released: 15 December 2019
Hades and Persephone are seen flying through Olympus. Nervously, he asks her if she actually wants to join TGOEM.
Persephone explains that she’s been groomed to join since she was a teenager and recognises that it is an honourable role for a goddess. She also adds that it means Zeus can’t marry her off as part of a business deal, but quickly apologises to Hades for insulting his brother. Hades laughs and says that he understands. She goes on to confess that she isn’t sure if she actually wants to join TGOEM or if everyone has just made her think it was her idea, but she doesn’t want to disappoint Hestia or her mother. Hades tells her that he understands what that feels like (flashback to Hades with puppy Cerberus heading into the underworld looking back at the rest of the Traitors who watch him leave).
“I’m trying to work out if it was my choice or if everyone just told me it was my choice.”
Persephone
Hades and Persephone steal nursing scrubs and go in search of Alex’s room. They surprise Alex, who thinks they are actually doctors in the first instance. He screams at them to get away from him, but Persephone tells him they are here to help him. Alex continues to be confrontational until Hades tells him that they want to return his eye, and that he should be thanking Persephone. Sitting up in bed Alex asks if this is true to which Persephone replies that it is but he shouldn’t print stories that aren’t true.
Arriving at their destination, the hospital, Hades and Persephone head inside. Speaking with a very unimpressed receptionist they are told that only family members can visit at this time. Hades begins to angrily berate the receptionist, before Persephone apologizes and grabs his arm to pull him away. She grabs him by the tie and pulls him down so they are face to face and whispers that she has an idea.
Alex agrees, and Hades asks Persephone to wait outside whilst he returns the reporter’s eye. Whilst outside, Persephone peers inside to see what’s taking so long, much to her surprise.
Demeter is the only one among the traitors who has her back turned on Hades when he’s walking towards the Underworld.
