Episode 73: BFF
Editor: Annie LaHue
Released: 25 August 2019
Thetis invites Minthe for drinks after work. She seems to be unhappy with how her affair with Zeus is not progressing like Minthe’s relationship with Hades, especially upon seeing Minthe’s recent Fatesbook update. She tries to call Zeus at home, but he simply tells her off saying not to call him when he’s at home. When Minthe comes in to fetch her for drinks, they exchange a barb of passive-aggressive insults.
Zeus would never do that for me.
Thetis
Unbeknownst to Minthe, Thetis asks the bartender to keep their drinks coming. Thetis and Minthe, when together, exemplify the worst behaviour in Sorority girl cliches; cattiness, bullying, one-upmanship, and sabotage. Thetis starts to pick at her insecurities and fear of commitment as the bartender continue to send her drinks. She centers the conversation around Persephone, encouraging Minthe’s jealousy and leading her to believe something is amiss. She convinces Minthe, now clearly drunk, to not respond to Hade’s texts and they proceed to plan a way to punish him.
The Dread Queen has arrived, and Kronos is not prepared.
