The reporter clicks on her recorder, asking Persephone for a comment on her relationship status with the King of the Underworld. Persephone looks startled. Meanwhile, Hades looks pissed. Persephone holds up a hand and stops him from doing anything. She calmly, while smiling, grabs the reporter’s arm. Her eyes are red and there are vines slowly growing out of her hair. The reporter uneasily says that she’s got quite a grip. Hades watches the scene: realizing that Persephone looks angry.
He interrupts their moment and asks if she can take a photo. Persephone brings a finger to her lips and says she guess it would be fine. Awkwardly, Hades asks if she’s okay with being photographed with him, but Persephone simply tells him to shut up.
Hades puts his arm around her and looks at her adoringly, as Persephone tells the reporter, “Ready!”
As the camera flashed, Persephone is brought back to her night of the assault, when Apollo was taking pictures. She leaned in towards Hades and covered her face. Hades looks worried and sternly turns to the reporter and says they’re finished. The reporter disappears.
Persephone asks the reporter to not grab her. Her grip becomes tighter, and the reporter starts to say that she’s kind of hurting him. This snaps Persephone out of her brief moment of anger and brushes it off by saying she doesn’t know her strength. The reporter asks if he can get a statement and shoves the recorder in Persephone’s face. This time, Hades steps in and yells at the reporter. Persephone calms him and pats his chest, saying it’s fine. She clears her throat and tells the reporter a rather diplomatic statement. They both send the reporter an uneasy grin. The reporter raises his eyebrow and says he was hoping for something more spicey. He watches Hades and Persephone smile at each other.
“I’m glad the prospect of my wrath delights you, but I’m not a King, I can’t just do whatever suits me.”
Persephone
After the reporter is gone, Hades comments on the weird situation. Persephone covers her eyes and apologizes. Hades worriedly asks if she wants to go home, but Persephone waves her hand and says she’s fine. She’s just embarrassed.
Persephone and Hades stand in front of a kiosk, buying some snacks. Hades asks Persephone if he could ask her something. Persephone says sure, as the seller on the kiosk hands her a honeycomb. Hades asks her if she was getting angry earlier and Persephone avoids the question by taking a bite out of her honeycomb. Hades is amused at the prospect of Persephone being angry.
They walk towards where they keep the pets in the Underworld Corp. Hades comments that he would’ve loved to see Persephone lay into the reporter. Persephone tells Hades that while she’s glad the prospect of her wrath delights him, she’s no King and she can’t just do whatever suits her. Hades frowns. He says he doesn’t always get to do what he wants, but he sees her point. He checks his watch and realizes they’re taking a lot of time. He offers his hand to her as he asks if she’s ready to learn the secrets of the mortal afterlife. Persephone looks up towards him and, taking his hand, tells him that she’d like that.
