Thanatos, Hermes, and Persephone get off the elevator while, behind them, Hades asks Hecate if someone else can tour Persephone around, because he’s busy. He sends her a weird grimace, but Hecate is not convinced. She simply reaches for her phone, to Hades’ dismay, and calls Minthe while smirking, asking Minthe to move Hades’ calendar around because he’s taking Persephone on a tour right now. Hades repeatedly cries “no” in the background, but Hecate has a placating hand on his head. Minthe shrieks through the phone. Hecate doesn’t care and simply thanks her before ending the call.
Hades frowns at Hecate. She simply tells him that it wouldn’t kill him to put his diplomacy cap on. Frowning, Hades asks since when does he need excellent optics. Meanwhile, in the background, Persephone is once again drawn to the massive tank filled with eels. As she’s climbing the ladder to view the tank, Hecate is telling Hades that they better make up with Persephone since she could’ve been seriously hurt in Tower 4. Hades says they need to get to the bottom of it. Persephone is still looking at the eels.
In a distance, Alecto teases Hecate and says she didn’t take her for the matchmaker type. Hecate shrugs it off and nonchalantly says that she doesn’t know what Alecto is talking about, she’s simply doing what’s best for the Kingdom of the underworld. Snorting, Alecto asks Hecate if Persephone and Hades have any clue what they look like. Hecate grins. The panel shows Hades and Persephone facing each other, looking like a newlywed couple. She laughs and says, “Ha! Nope.”
Hecate tells Hades to try asking Persephone about it, but he feels uncomfortable in doing so. Hecate pokes him with her finger and firmly states to just take the “damn Barley Mother heiress” on a tour. She then calls for Persephone, who is seen trying to pet the eels in the tank. Persephone calls back that she’s coming, and as she leaves, the eels try to follow her.
Hecate beckons Hades over and tells Persephone that she’s leaving her with Hades. Before she leaves, Hecate reminds Persephone to stop by the support office and get her photo taken to which Persephone nervously states that hopefully, she can remember where it is. Hecate runs off, waves them goodbye, and says she’ll see them later, leaving both of them facing each other awkwardly.
The tour starts. Hades is seen walking ahead of Persephone and she’s hastily trying to keep up. She calls him and he frowns at her. Persephone looks sadly taken aback. She toys with her hands as she asks Hades to please walk slower, because she’s having trouble keeping up with him. Unbeknownst to Persephone, Hades internally screams and is ready to start a dramatic monologue.
Persephone apologizes about the car and tells him that it’s been a while since she’s had fun. She twists a roll of paper in her fingers as she continues, saying that she gets it if Hades wants her to leave. This surprises Hades, realizing that she is just like him when anxious. Hades admits that Persephone always catches him off guard. He stammers, and says to just get a driver’s license. Persephone wraps her hand around Hades’ arm, and they walk together. Hades apologizes for walking too fast and Persephone tells him it’s okay.
Hades shifts the conversation and they talk about Tower 1. They both smile at each other.
Suddenly, a yellow hand grabs Persephone’s arm, asking if she’s Persephone, goddess of spring. It was a reporter, who was looking for a comment on her relationship status with the King of the Underworld for the Daily Oracle. Hades glares threateningly.
The Dread Queen has arrived, and Kronos is not prepared.
