After having bested him at chess and secured an internship position for herself at the Underworld, Hades embarrasses Persephone by making a large announcement of her role as an intern in front of a crowd of coworkers. While everyone is clapping, Minthe is unimpressed, clapping her left hand against her thigh. She questions why an intern merits a formal introduction to staff. Thanatos stands beside her with his arms crossed.
Hades is laughing while Persephone is calling Hades 100% a scoundrel for embarrassing her. Persephone realizes there is now a professional boundary between them and that she can’t say certain things to him. Hades gets a worried look on his face with this realization.
Minthe overhears them down the hallway and interrupts them. They both became flustered, and Hades realizes he was touching Persephone’s wrist.
Hades formally introduces Persephone and Minthe is surprised that Persephone is pretending that they’ve never met before and doesn’t seem to have told him how she got to Tower 4.
Persephone offers her hand to shake, but Minthe only grabs onto her thumb. Minthe forcefully pulls Hades’ tie and comments that she’s been trying to catch him all day. Hades is not happy she’s grabbing him and they go off together to speak alone. We see that they are arguing for a long time. They both walk away angry, and as Persephone looks back at Minthe, she sees her flipping them off before storming away with a tear in her eye.
As Hades drives her back, he shows her the tabloid but is surprised that she doesn’t seem to care about it. Her reasoning is that Demeter is unlikely to see it and the people that care about Persephone won't give it much thought.
Hades wonders where her sense of wrath is and calls her soft as he opens her door. He blushes when Persephone asks what’s wrong with being soft.
They don’t notice Apollo watching them with disdain from his car.
“You’re not mad? Where’s your sense of wrath?”
