Episode 40: Hide and Sneek

Persephone enters a gloomy room full of skeletons. As she calls out to Hades, the shades begin to grab at her and tear at her coat. She manages to get away and recognizes her best chance at survival is in hiding. She summons her power and creates a forest.

Back in a conference room, Hades reprimanding Thanatos as he discusses at length how Thanatos has collected a smaller number of souls compared to Hermes in the last month. Suddenly, an alarm rings, and Hecate barges into the room indicating that there has been a breach in Tartarus.

Minthe looks stunned and nervous. Hecate then pulls up the video footage, which reveals Persephone, surrounded by shades. Hades’ glasses crack and he immediately summons his bident to come at Persephone’s aid.

Hades reaches Tower 4 and enters the forest, seeing a lot of his shades wander around. He uses his bident to stop the shades from moving and searches for Persephone. He finds her shoe and calls out her name in a panic.

He finds Persephone attempting to stop a shade from strangling her. Hades snaps his fingers and the shade crumbles to dust, freeing Persephone from its grasp.

“I don’t want you to see me cry again.”

Persephone

He kneels in front of her to check her for injuries. She assures him she’s ok but hides his eyes as she doesn’t want him to see her cry again. She tells him it’s been a rough couple of days and apologizes for messing up. Hades assures her it’s his fault and in greek says “I’m a terrible king”. Persephone falls forwards into his arms and they hug.

Hades reaches Tower 4, enters the forest, and uses his bident to control the shades. After freeing Persephone from being strangled by a shade, he kneels in front of her to check her for injuries. She assures him she’s ok but hides his eyes as she doesn’t want him to see her cry again. She tells him it’s been a rough couple of days and apologizes for messing up. Hades assures her it’s his fault and in Greek says “I’m a terrible king.” Persephone falls forwards into his arms and they hug.
