Hades and Persephone are embracing in Tower 4, and Hades notices Persephone is cold and says they should head back. He offers her his coat and helps her put her shoe on. There is an element of reverence in how he touches her. When she turns to find her coat and papers, he tells her someone else can get them. She agrees to go back to his office after he promises someone would return her things, as the brooch on her coat has sentimental value. Persephone turns to go back the way she came, but Hades offers to take her back via the scenic route.
“She’s not just a daughter of a friend of Hades. She’s a descendent of the 6 Traitors Dynasty. She’s the only daughter of Demeter. And Heiress to the Barley Mother fortune.”
Hecate
Back in the conference room, Hecate, Thanatos, and Minthe are watching the video feed of Hades comforting a crying Persephone. Hecate recognizes that there is more affection in the gesture than should be shown and turns off the feed.
When Thanatos asks about the new girl, Hecate corrects him by noting Persephone is a woman. Thanatos reveals he was rude to Persephone that morning and Minthe tells him that she’s a daughter of a friend. Hecate corrects her and reveals that Persephone is a descendent of one of the Six Traitors dynasty and the heiress to Barley Mother, with a huge net worth.
“Good luck with that.”
Hecate
Minthe looks out the broken conference room window (where Hades had burst out to go rescue Persephone) and sees Hades carrying Persephone in his arms. Despite causing the commotion in which Persephone almost gets killed, she calls Persephone a bitch and glares at her.
The Dread Queen has arrived, and Kronos is not prepared.
