In the Underworld, Minthe is still unnerved by the photo of Hades and Persephone in the tabloid, despite her talk with Hades. When Thanatos, the God of Death, appears at her desk, he notices she’s unfocused but she refuses to tell him why.

Thanatos has a meeting with Hades, but he’s late. Hades is not thrilled to meet with him, especially to discuss a proposal for a raise, but he enjoys the chance to berate Thanatos for his poor performance and tardiness.

“You think your time is more important than mine?”
Hades

“But Hera told me I had to see him. I can’t leave until I do.”
Persephone

Persephone has arrived at Tower 1 in the Underworld to meet with Hades to discuss her internship. As she’s walking up to the reception area, she sees Minthe and internally comments that she finds her beautiful and thin. When Persephone approaches her desk, Minthe recognizes her from the tabloid. Initially rejecting Persephone’s request to get an appointment with Hades, Minthe lies to her and tells her the only way she could catch Hades was on his rounds. She hands Persephone a map, circling Tower 4, and tells her she better hurry if she wants to catch him.

Persephone makes it to the area marked on Minthe’s map, but it’s a Restricted Access area. Recalling that Minthe said it would be fine for her to go inside, she enters and calls out for Hades.
