Hades decides that he needs to talk to Persephone. However, she is with Artemis, the Goddess of the Hunt, who passionately hates him. Zeus comes up with a plan to distract Artemis so that Hades can approach Persephone.
“I thought meeting all these new people would make me happy. But I just feel more lonely than ever.”
Persephone
Zeus starts up a conversation with Artemis, mentioning that her brother is a better archer than her. Deeply offended, Artemis drags Zeus away so that they can settle this immediately.
Meanwhile, Eros sneaks up to Persephone and asks if she wants to have some “real fun.”
Hades returns to Poseidon, annoyed that he is unable to find Persephone, who seems to have disappeared. Unknown to anyone else, Persephone is alone with Eros, who has gotten her very drunk.
Persephone feels awful and disoriented, noting that she has lost Artemis but doesn’t want to be a bother. Despite being surrounded by people, she feels more lonely than ever and just wants to go home. Eros keeps giving her drinks.
Eventually, she passes out, and Eros picks her up and carries her away. He apologizes to the sleeping Persephone in his arms, as he does not want to do this but has been ordered to by Aphrodite.
The next morning, Persephone wakes up in a strange room, her long hair overflowing out of the large bed she is in. She has no idea where she is.
The Dread Queen has arrived, and Kronos is not prepared.
