Beauty and the Beast

There are two possible parallels between Lore Olympus and Beauty and the Beast.

The first is when Persephone wakes up in Hades’ home and finds his library. She notes many are first edition with wonder. This is similar to Belle’s love of the Beast’s library.

The second is when Hades searches the Underworld for Persephone and remarks how much he doesn’t know her. In the background is a flower under glass at a pawn shop. Thematically, this is similar to the curse placed upon the Beast. He couldn’t regain his true form until someone loved him for who he was. In the same way, Hades is realizing how much he and Persephone don’t know each other.
