Episode 61: Itty
Editor: Annie LaHue
Released: 9 June 2018
Minthe mentions he’s a great cook and asks Persephone if he’s made anything for her before. Hades says, “What are you doing?”
Hades and Persephone discuss getting her photo taken. He remembers how she was afraid when the journalist (Hera disguised) took her photo and says she can send in an old one. He can relate because he hates being in pictures too.
Minthe pops up out of nowhere and says he’s handsome. She suggests they have dinner at his place, being very handsy and affectionate with him. Persephone looks awkward, and Hades is sweating.
Persephone excuses herself and dashes away, flying in the air. She looks back over her shoulder, and Hades blushes, eyes glowing red. Minthe notices, annoyed.
Artemis practices archery at home (three targets, over a dozen white arrows). She gets her foot stuck in bow and yells angrily, rationalizing that she’s “just in a funk today.” She remembers Persephone angry and close to telling her something about her brother, Apollo. She looks at their family portrait wearing twins shirts and guesses it’s because he’s annoying.
Artemis’ cat, Retsina, meows at her like they are having a conversation, and Artemis says “I know I shouldn’t have yelled at her….you’re right.”
She hugs Retsina.
“Meow! Meow! Meow!”
Retsina
Persephone says she’s sorry too and that she’s grateful for being able to live with her. “I wouldn’t even be allowed to leave the mortal realm if you hadn’t stuck your neck out for me.” They talk about Hestia taking the coat.
It’s dark when Persephone touches down at home. Retsina is outside and there is a car in the open carport. When she opens the door, Artemis holds an “I’m Sorry” cake. She apologizes for arguing and admits her rules are “a bit hypocritical.”
Artemis says, “It was like she’d already built up a story in her head before she got here.” Persephone says, “Hestia is kind of a jerk.” When Artemis asks her what’s going on, Persephone admits to she has “a tiny, little, itty, bitty crush on Hades.” Artemis’ eye twitches and she yells.
The Dread Queen has arrived, and Kronos is not prepared.
