Hera is looking at herself in the mirror and thinking back on her life. She was a goddess made from starlight and earth, but now she feels lost. She misses the Earth, her sisters, and her mother. She feels like she has traded all of it to be a Golden Traitor, and a fraction of what she could have been, in order to make Zeus feel safe. She looks self-consciously down at her torso, where there are two scars wrapping around her middle. She reflects that she was torn asunder to be the Goddess of Marriage.

“Royalty speaking! What will you whisper in my presence?”

Hera

From behind her, Zeus comes up and asks her if she has seen his socks, hoping she could use one of her visions to help him find them. In response, she flips him off.

At Artemis’ home, Ampelus is petting the wolf, while Eros and Artemis hover nervously over a cellphone. They are preparing to call Hera to ask for her help, though Artemis is doubtful that she will assist them, and asks if literally anyone else could do it instead. Eros points out that Hera is the best. Artemis and Eros bicker over who should call, and Eros reminds Artemis that he doesn’t have to be helping her. Artemis apologizes, and they call Hera together.

Hera picks up the phone and Artemis and Eros both start talking at once, saying they need to talk to her. Hera is dubious as to what they could possibly want from her, but Artemis insists they need her help. Hera considers but then says no, and is preparing to hang up the phone when they tell her it’s about Persephone. Hera is shocked and worried, and promises that she won’t tell Zeus.

The next day, Hera is at Artemis’ house, which she finds to be a dump. She can’t believe she agreed to help them and says that she does not like deceiving Demeter, and that if Demeter finds out Persephone is missing that could mean the end of Persephone’s freedom. However, if she is still missing in a few days, they have to tell Demeter. Eros and Artemis both agree, and Hera transforms herself into Persephone.
