Episode 148: Daydreams and Nightmares
Editor: Bre Boswell
Released: 14 March 2021
Persephone is seen in the Mortal Realm, seemingly working. Hades appears, calling her name, and they run into each other, embracing and sharing a kiss. Suddenly, Kronos’ voice echoes through, and to Hades’ horror, Persephone crumbles into dust as Kronos. The titan consumes Persephone, and Hades wakes up from his nightmare, screaming Kore’s name, as a spectre of his childhood self hovers above him.
He brushes the young child away and tries to remind himself repeatedly that Persephone is okay, she is in his house, she is safe.
Even though he thinks it’s a bad idea, he goes and knocks on her door at 6:25 am. She drags him in, shoves Cerberus off the bed, and invites him to lie down.
“And Kronos is in Tartarus. There is no way he can leave, right?”
Persephone
She cuddles with him and puts on a live feed of griffin pups in the nest. She asks what’s wrong and eventually he explains his nightmare. Persephone assures him she’s fine, Kronos is in Tartarus, and there’s no way he can escape.
The next scene shows her vibrant pink tree growing at the top of Tower 4. The roots curl down and down, with countless eyes of shades seemingly awake. Tiny pink petals sprinkle down onto a gigantic, chained, skeletal form. Its skull rises with bright red eyes up and says only, “Well, well well.”
WHAT WE LEARNED:
THEORIES:
The question that's shaking the fandom. Did Persephone take the pomegranate of her own will? Did Erebos gift it to her without her knowledge? There are plenty of reasons for her to want it, but plenty more for her to not make a secretive, impulsive decision like that.
What do you think?
Artemis said that “She can make a wolf tell her its deepest secrets”. Since wolf she adopted witnessed the last altercation between Apollo and Artemis, will she know more about her brother through her wolf?
