“Don’t cry to me. I would’ve devoured him by now.”

Persephone

Still in his office, Hades is left alone with his confusion and uncertainty about the appropriateness of his actions. He asks the Oracle search engine why a goddess would turn into butterflies but receives no results. He’s concerned that he messed up all the boundaries and even though he wants to call her, he chooses to give her space. He’s disappointed in his lack of self-control in kissing her and admitting some of his feelings for her.

It’s now the next day and we see Minthe putting on lipstick before work. She’s not dressed in her usual style as she’s wearing a white button-down shirt and her hair up in a bun. The back seam of her tights appears to be ripped, hinting at previous wear. She’s gathered together a morning report and coffee for Hades, the picture of a good assistant.

Unfortunately, Hades is unimpressed with her efforts and as she walks away, he disappoints her further by requesting she email the report moving forward, limiting their interaction. Minthe begins chatting with Thetis, complaining that Hades isn’t noticing her. They discuss if Thanatos has reported back, but Thetis hasn’t heard from him.

Minthe is pulled away from the chat when she notices Persephone has been standing at her desk. She initially thinks Persephone is there to see Hades, but she’s surprised when Persephone is there for her. This annoys Minthe as she interprets that as Persephone taking more from her; first Hades now, her lunch? Equating Hades to a possibly stolen could be telling about Minthe’s lack of regard for him, or it could be a flippant remark.

“Hades isn’t enough? What else do you want from me? You want my lunch now, too?”

Minthe

When Persephone asks Minthe to train her on using the Underworld software, Minthe initially refuses, but has to change her mind when Persephone reveals that she has the map to Tower 4. It’s printed on Minthe’s official letterhead and clearly implicates her. EIther Minthe helps her with the software or the map goes to Hecate.

During their training session, Minthe begins picking into Hades; relationship with Persephone by comparing it to her own experiences. She recounts how the beginning of their relationship was thrilling as he gave her gifts, that she liked the way he looked at her and how he’d drop anything to please her. We see a panel with Hades and Minthe together where he’s fulfilling this role but the expressions on their faces do not match as Minthe looks pleased and Hades is frowning.

Persephone interrupts Minthe from her attempt at sabotage but does apologize that Hades and Minthe broke up because ultimately Persephone is a good person, even though she could be getting what she wants at Minthe’s loss. Minthe blows off the apology as being false and says that Hades will take her back eventually. She implies that she knows more about Persephone and that once Hades learns more about her, he’ll break things off with her.

Persephone is understandably shaken by this statement and Minthe leans on the threat further. Before anything else can be said, a bandage-covered Thanatos arrives in a panic. He is clearly afraid of Persephone and hauls Minthe away, likely whispering to her about what he found.

The episode ends with the Fates finding Hades’ missing memory.
