Hephaestus and Ares talk in a side office as Persephone and Hades wait on the other side of the door.
They flirt and tease each other, switching between killing a plant and restoring it back to life.
Ares says that he tracked his brother without his knowledge and waited for an optimal moment to confront him. He says “Mom’s blue friend” (Echo) wants Hephaestus to visit her. Ares wonders if Echo is Hera’s girlfriend, but says he’s not sure. Hephaestus tries to return to the subject, asking about Hera. Ares explains that Hera is currently unwell and that she misses Hephaestus.
Hephaestus turns to Hades and Persephone and asks them to flirt somewhere else while the two brothers talk.
Meanwhile, in Olympus, Eros and Ampelus (Psyche) are getting ready for their task of the day. They briefly see Artemis running with her wolves. Ampelus asks if Eros wants to try talking to her again, but Eros says no. Ampelus later implies that she knows what happened to Persephone, as she can see the signs, Eros didn’t have to say anything. Eros comments on Ampelus’ mysterious past life.

Ampelus talks about the “many lives” she’s had, and how she became close with Aphrodite. She says she doesn’t think Aphrodite has many friends. She mentions that she misses her family, but she can’t live that way again, after the life she has now experienced. She opens up to Eros about how she had her heartbroken by someone she trusts. They kiss.
