Episode 144: Retail Therapy
Editor: Bre Boswell
Released: 14 February 2021
As Hades helps clasp Persephone’s bracelet, Persephone leans in for a kiss, surprising him. Slowly, they fall to the floor as the embrace continues. Her skin begins to brighten and butterflies appear, causing Hades to stop, hold her tight, and beg her to “please don’t leave.”
They talk about how much he wants her but that with her being a guest in his house, he wants to respect his boundaries as her host. He mentions her obvious discomfort in kissing because of the butterflies. She clarifies that she’s scared and worried she can’t give him enough (implying sexually, by referencing Minthe showing up in her underwear.)
Hades says “a kiss can just be a kiss.” Persephone says she’s afraid he’ll stop wanting her because of this “block” she has. He assures her that her needs and wants are not less important than his. He unclips the pomegranate cloak pin he’d been wearing and admits they are in the start of a relationship but they will take the pace she is comfortable with, even suggested they go on a date after the trial. He asks what she’d like to do now, and we next see them swimming together in an easy and happy embrace.
“We’ve got all the time in the world.”
Hades
Elsewhere in the Underworld, a small green bird flies down the street, transforming into a hooded Demeter, who peers around with obvious distress.
