“There are many versions of the truth, and I’m very interested in hearing about yours.”
Hades
“This is all wrong.”
Persephone
Persephone is awoken the next morning by Eros, who came by with breakfast (a honeycomb), word puzzles, and a face mask. He explains that they were all searching for her and Artemis sends her love but can’t come because she’s a “squeaky clean Olympian.”
In her pajamas, Persephone speaks with Hades in his home office. He asks if she’s comfortable staying with him, admitting it’s a strange arrangement. She casually mentions their kiss and says she’s “comfy” but asks about her mother because she’s worried for her. Hades doesn’t know where she is.
Persephone changes into a beautiful dress and shawl Hecate bought for her and meets Hades again in his study. He shares the report Zeus gave and is transparent about his brother wanting to make an example of her. There is a tape recorder on the table.
Persephone is upset by the report, denying it happened that way.
Hades asks for her version of the truth.
