The Jim Henson Company & Webtoons: Lore Olympus Animated Series

The Jim Henson Company and Webtoons are teaming up to develop Rachel Smythe’s Eisner Award Nominated web comic, Lore Olympus, as an animated series for young adults.
According to Deadline, Webtoon and the Henson Company are thrilled to bring an animated series that possesses “a unique female perspective” on Greek myths. Lore Olympus marks the first time Webtoon has partnered with an outside company to adapt one of their web-comics into screen.
Ashley Greffis, the executive director of television for the Henson Company, will guide the development process for the series.
“At Henson, we love stories that inspire, both artistically and intellectually, and Webtoon’s Lore Olympus does both. Rachel Smythe’s new take on mythology and innovative design, with a unique female perspective, makes this project perfect for today’s young adults. The world of Lore Olympus is a welcome part of the Henson tradition of exceptional fantasy storytelling.”
