If you have passion for a character, your love will shine through in your cosplays, and you will enjoy yourself. That's what cosplay is all about. Having fun.

How long have you been doing cosplay and what first got you interested?

I have been doing cosplay for seven years now. I have always enjoyed dressing up since I was young, and I also got involved with a lot of theatre productions and shows growing up. I went to a performance arts college and always enjoyed being on costume duty for myself and friends. Crafting costumes /cosplay from things hanging around and later learning new skills has always been thrilling and fun for me.

Who is your favorite Lore Olympus character to cosplay?

Definitely Hades. He and I share many similarities in nature and in emotional trials he has faced and is continuing to work through.

I absolutely love him as a character, and the way Rachel has designed him is just amazing. His sharp-dressed man appearance with his chiseled features are always so fun to recreate.

What is the most memorable cosplay you did (doesn’t have to be Lore Olympus)? And why?

One of my most memorable cosplays I have done has got to be Kimahri from Final Fantasy 10, yet again another blue character. Seems the colour follows me from cosplay to cosplay. He is a giant blue ronso. The convention I attended made getting a selfie with Kimahri a quest of the day, so I was stopped a lot and asked for many photos.

Tell us your Lore Olympus story. What got you into Lore Olympus and what  made you stay?

I have always loved Greek mythology, so honestly when my friend suggested I should read Lore Olympus because I reminded her of Hades, I admit my curiosity was peaked. I started reading it and I've been happily addicted ever since.

Like I said earlier, I found a lot of similarities between myself and our beloved King of the Underworld. The story was different from the ones I'd known growing up, and Rachel’s new take on the characters and the way in which events happened are really amazing and gripping.

Any advice for a new cosplayer out there?

Honestly my advice to anyone who wants to cosplay is just go for it.

You will come across people who say you don't suit the character or that you would look better as someone else but honestly you cosplay anyone you want.

If you could body snatch one LO character for a day, who would it be?

I'll be honest, I'd still say Hades. I really would love to take a walk around the Underworld and drive his snazzy cars. Plus, who wouldn't want to have a cuddle pile with his gorgeous dogs?

Just for fun: Who did you get on the Hades’ dog character quiz?

I got Cerberus - The largest dog with the softest steps. Cerberus is not only a good boy, but the best boy.

He is, of course, the best at being a good boy. I try my best to be a kind, good person, and a loyal friend. So I guess it's quite accurate.
