How long have you been doing cosplay and what first got you interested?

I’ve been doing cosplay for about 5 years now, although I started an official page in 2019. I’ve always been a crafty nerd, so this was a very natural next step in building new skills and supporting my fandoms.

Who is your favorite Lore Olympus character to cosplay?

I just adore Eros! He is both this caring, observant person and flawed individual learning from his mistakes.

I really admire the growth and empathy his character shows to those around him.

What is the most memorable cosplay you did (doesn’t have to be Lore Olympus)? And why?

A few years ago I did a classic Hawkgirl cosplay. Wings, mace, helmet, the whole kit and caboodle. I’d like to say it was memorable just because it was awesome, but it was actually extremely difficult to navigate Cons in and I had to have a handler guide me through crowds. *facepalm*

Tell us your Lore Olympus story. What got you into Lore Olympus and what made you stay?

I got into Lore Olympus later. I’ve always been a book reader and love high or epic fantasy but when stay at home orders went into effect, I found myself in a bit of a reading and creativity slump. I didn’t have the bandwidth to engage in fantastical worlds when our everyday world seemed more and more like science fiction.

I’d heard about the Lore Olympus fandom and their cult-like love of the comic, so I gave it a shot. It was exactly what I needed! It was not just visually stunning, the writing and storyline really spoke to me at a time when I needed some beauty in my life.

What other fandoms are you in? What’s special/unique about the Lore Olympus fandom?

I used to say that I was a Superwhopotterlock girl without flinching, but that's not totally true these days. Those worlds will always hold a place for me, but I am also very into anime and Marvel universes. Right now, I'm loving My Hero Academia and SpiderGwen. My nerdom evolves!

If you could body snatch one LO character for a day, who would it be?

Hands down, Hera. The confidence and strength she radiates are such a mood! I’d love to live a day with her resolve.

Any advice for a new cosplayer out there?

Have fun!

You’re putting yourself out there and very much wearing your heart on your sleeve with cosplay. At the end of the day, enjoy what you are doing and take pride in the work you’ve done.

Just for fun: Who did you get on the Hades’ dog character quiz?

HA! Cordon Bleu and it is so, so incredibly accurate. I think I may change my tagline to ‘Small, full of rage and glamour’ to match. I’ve never felt so seen ;)
