CJ is a Dyslexia Specialist from England. She enjoys sketching, sewing, watching movies and going to the theatre.
How long have you been doing cosplay?
I've been cosplaying for just over five years! My friends invited me to go to a convention with them and I loved seeing everyone in cosplay, so I decided to give it a go myself and haven't stopped since!
Who is your favorite Lore Olympus character to cosplay?
Definitely Persephone! I just love the way I feel as her!
Tell us your Lore Olympus story.
I remember seeing some of Rachel's sketches on instagram a couple of years ago and really liked her style. Fast forward to last January, I decided to finally start reading Lore Olympus and very quickly became invested.
I love all of the twists and turns. Just when you think you know whats going to happen - plot twist! The characters are all so relatable too!
What is the most memorable cosplay?
Persephone's green ensemble from episode 134! I'm so proud of myself for pulling that off within the time frame, and how well it turned out.
What other fandoms are you in? What’s special about the Lore Olympus fandom?
I'm part of several fandoms, namely Marvel and League of Legends, among others. But the Lore Olympus fandom is by far the most creative, most supportive fandom I've had the honour to be a part of. I've made so many new friends because of LO!
If you could body snatch one LO character for a day, who would it be?
I think I'd like to spend the day as Hera! She's so glamorous and commands respect, as well as having an amazing fashion sense!
What does cosplay mean to you?
Cosplay to me is a release. I work in a high-stress job, so being able to express my creativity whilst learning new skills is important to me. I love the fact that I'm able to set my own goals and really challenge myself.
Any advice for a new cosplayer out there?
Believe in yourself! Starting a cosplay is always nerve-wracking, but take your time, do your research, and trust yourself!
Try not to compare yourself to others; we're all running our own races!
