“Every time I look at my art and smile, I know that every moment was worth it.

Mielle is from São Paulo, Brazil, and the only thing she loves more than drawing is sleep.

How long have you done art? What mediums have you tried?

I have been drawing since I was a child. My mother always received complaints from teachers saying that my notebook was full of drawings and doodles. I tried to draw in the Clip Studio, Photoshop, but I felt most comfortable drawing in the Procreate.

I stopped doing traditional art at the first opportunity. I must admit that I was never very good at traditional art. I went through many phases - chibi style, cartoon style, and now I'm trying to change my style based on my biggest inspiration these days, nixeu.

How would you describe your style?

I think my style is closer to what we call "anime style", everyone says my style is soft and cute, and I think the biggest difference in my drawings is the lighting.

Tell us your Lore Olympus story.

I met Lore Olympus through an advertisement on Youtube, where an actress dressed as Persephone said, "so this is how having a crush feels like." I thought I looked like Persephone in the beginning. I understand how she feels, and every time Rachel showed her feeling frustrated or sad, it was like I saw myself in her place. Besides that, I think Rachel’s style is very beautiful.

How has fan art changed your style or helped you grow?

When I started making Lore Olympus fanart, a lot of people liked it. I started making friends, and I felt more motivated. Some artists that I met who are part of the fandom became my inspiration. One of my biggest inspirations right now is Beholden

Which Lore Olympus fan art are you most proud of and why?

The drawing I'm most proud of was the last one I posted, which is Gaia. I loved the face I created, and I feel good when I look at this drawing. Maybe it's because of the clouds.

If you could body snatch one LO character for a day, who would it be?

Cerberus, who wouldn't want to spend a whole day lying down and relaxing?

Do you have any goals or aspirations for your fan art?

My goal may be a little ambitious, but I want to be that artist that people look at and think "are they human?"

I want to improve more and more, and someday be a professional artist.

Any advice for someone looking to build their art skills?

Being an artist is stressful. Sometimes we feel sad or frustrated. Drawing can be the worst torture some days, but every time I look at my art and smile, I know that every moment was worth it.

Think about it. When drawing, it's normal to want to change the style sometimes, but know that if you're happy, everything is okay.

Just for fun: Who did you get on this quiz?

Big John! I fully agree lol, maybe I really need cuddles.
