Episode 7: The Titanomachy (Part One)

Summary:

This episode is one of two-part of the Titanomachy. In Greek, Titanomachia translates to “the titan war.” Zimi discusses the first six Olympians and what each of them represent. She discusses Cronus swallowing Hestia, Demeter, Hera, Hades, and Poseidon and how Zeus was spared. She tells the tale of Zeus and what he did in order to rescue his siblings from his father’s belly. She ends the episode by setting the stage for the war itself.

CORRECTION: I accidentally said that Hades is the god of death. He is not; he is the god of the DEAD. This episode discusses the foundation for the epic battle between the gods and the Titans!! I discuss the 6 original Olympians, the Zeus’ trickery of his father, and I also read an excerpt from “D’Aulaires Book of Greek Myths”
