How long have you done art? What mediums have you tried?

I’m a self taught artist since I was a kid, I think my vocation for art was revealed at the age of 5 when my parents surprised me scribbling some elephants on the living room table xD then since I’ve been drawing every day in traditional media with sketchbooks, pencils, watercolor, ink until when I got to study in animation school after college I began to use digital art. It has been my main medium since but I still draw a lot with pencil sketches today.

How would you describe your style? What makes you different?

My style changes often but I might say it’s kind of a mix between stylized and semi-realistic. What probably makes it different is that I’m mixing traditional sketches and digital media : I mostly sketch my characters on my sketchbook then I scan it and paint the colors digitally.

Tell us your Lore Olympus story. What got you into Lore Olympus? What made you stay?

I started to discover and read Lore Olympus when I was in a trip to Japan. Just before going to bed I’ve installed the webtoon application on my phone. It was my first time reading a webtoon and when I began to read the first episodes I literally binged watched the first season in one night, while I was hearing everyone snoring in the hostel room. I’ve been a fan since and am completely in love with Rachel’s story and characters, and also because I’ve always been a greek mythology admirer.

If you could body snatch one LO character for a day, who would you be?

Pretty sure it would be Persephone. I have a close connexion with nature and flowers and I feel quite touched by her grace, feminity and sensitivity.

How has fan art changed your style or helped you grow?

Since my very first LO fanart two years ago that helped me boost my visibility on social media, I got more and more confident with my art and with the time and practice, my style evolved as I was having a lot of fun drawing Lore olympus characters that I love the most (including Eros, Hecate, Ares) and got to meet and talk with amazing people from the LO community.

Which fanart are you most proud of and why?

This piece of Hades and Persephone’s hug from the Tartarus tree scene is undoubtedly my favourite of all of my LO fanart. When I got this episode in the webcomic I was deeply touched of the power of embrace and chemistry of the characters although they barely know each other. So I wanted to express my fascination through my art and give a tribute to this special scene.

Any advice for someone looking to build their art skills?

Keep drawing and practice every day and study/observe as many references of subjects you want to get better with (it could be characters, backgrounds, people, hands, color, perspective, anything) and most of all, always have fun in what you do!

Do you have goals or aspirations for your art?

My main aspiration today is to keep improving my art by daily sketching, studying references and anatomy, working on character designs and concepts and starting to develop my own webcomic.
