Just because you think something is hard, doesn’t mean you can’t do it. Trust me on this.

Maya (aka @sweet.jester) lives in Poland and spends her days drawing fanart, listening to music, watching streams, and learning how to roller skate. She hopes to one day study graphic design and animation with a goal of working in the movie industry.

How long have you done art?

I’ve been drawing my whole life, from doodling in my sketchbooks and notebooks to drawing on a bigger canvas. However, it all became more serious about five years ago when I discovered the wonderful world of digital art.

How would you describe your style?

My art style is a mess. When other people struggle with the same face syndrome I have the opposite, I can never draw the same character in the same style. But, to be honest, I don’t think this is a bad thing. I guess it just means that I’m constantly improving and evolving. I’m not stuck on one thing and can work with other styles, and I think that’s what makes it a little different?

Tell us your Lore Olympus story.

It was all by accident. I was fresh on Webtoon and looking for comics, when the LO icon caught my attention. I’ve loved greek mythology since I was a kid, and our Underworld couple's myth has always been my favourite. So you can imagine that, when I learned what the comic was about, I just had to read it. The art style is gorgeous and I’m always down to see a new retelling of the myths.

If you could body snatch one LO character for a day, who would you be?

Definitely Hecate. She’s such a cool character. Powerful wildcard with an amazing fashion sense who lives in the Underworld. Yup, that’s a life I could live.

Which fanart are you most proud of and why?

I’ll have to go with the Bringer of Death fanart. I’m really proud of how the colors and atmosphere work in this piece. It was also the first work of mine that got really positive feedback. It definitely made me determined to draw more.

Any advice for someone looking to build their art skills?

Draw. Every. Day. No matter what, no matter how much, you’ll see that over time you’ll get better at anything. Also, don’t be afraid to seek out new mediums and try out new art styles. Just because you think something is hard, doesn’t mean you can’t do it. Trust me on this.

Do you have goals or aspirations for your art?

My biggest goal is to create animations or concept art in the future or anything to do with movies. My biggest inspirations for drawing were always superhero comics, so I’m really hoping to find myself doing something connected to them.

Just for fun: Who did you get on this quiz?

I got CERBY! Yass I love that big pupper :DDD
