How long have you done art?
I've been a traditional artist for the last 15 years and took the plunge into digital this last year during the pandemic.
How would you describe your style?
I wanna say my style is a little pin-up, a little comic book-esque. It's very thirsty art, and very line art heavy!
Tell us your Lore Olympus story.
I had seen the ads for over a year and wasn't sure until I was stuck out of town and decided to give it a try. I automatically fell in love with the story and the art. I binged all the episodes in one day and immediately started drawing fan art.
I went through an experience similar to Persephone (with Apollo) and honestly, the story helped me process and not feel so alone.
If you could body snatch one LO character for a day, who would you be?
Ooo! Hermes. Who doesn't wanna fly around as a hot himbo?
How has fan art changed your style or helped you grow?
Fan art helped me get closer to a definite style, and helped me learn to draw men. And it's honestly low pressure and super fun!
Which fanart are you most proud of and why?
The image above (right). This was a very emotional piece that I spent an absurd amount of time drawing and redrawing. My style has changed a bit since then but aren't we most proud and connected to the pieces we pour our hearts into? 💛
Any advice for someone looking to build their art skills?
Don't be afraid to ask for help! Use references, do figure studies, experiment! Your art will change as you change. Welcome it, and don't stop trying to grow.
Do you have goals or aspirations for your art?
I hope to have my own comic one day!
Just for fun: Who did you get on this quiz?
Mushroom! 100%. Eat. Sleep. Repeat.
