How long have you done art? What mediums have you tried?

I’ve done it probably since Kindergarten, but I didn’t REALLY get into art until I had to deal with some difficult stuff in my childhood to the point where drawing was the only thing that just made sense to me and I thought “Why not?” For the most part I’ve been using markers and the occasional watercolor. I rarely use Digital Art because it feels uncomfortable to me. Probably until I get a bigger tablet and an Apple pen I’ll do more digital art. Who knows!

How would you describe your style?

It’s kinda hard to explain to be honest. But for most of my life I’ve been influenced by anime and Steven Universe and Beastars manga. I fell in love with the art style that I’ve been copying their drawing techniques. Hair and eyes have always been my favorite part of drawing people so sometimes I put more focus on those details rather than the hands and feet. *Nervous laughter*

Tell us your Lore Olympus story.

This gonna sound really awkward but I pretty much just watched Emirichu’s Webtoon video and she started talking about Lore Olympus, and I just went “Hmm Ok neat.” I didn’t download Webtoon until months later when my friend kept annoying me to download Webtoon. It was the most popular thing in there and I was like, “Why not?” I’ve loved Greek mythology since I was tiny, so no harm in giving it a shot!

I haven’t made art about LO until almost a couple of months later, when I finally made an Instagram art account. Then I thought to make some genderbent art just for the sheer fun of it cause I designed Cute Boy Persephone. The reason I stuck with it is because I became obsessed with the idea of roles being reversed. A rich career woman and a college boy sounded like a really cool concept. Plus I wanted to spread awareness that boys and men can also be sexually harassed because the media and a lot of people think they can’t.

How has fan art changed your style or helped you grow?

My taste in color palettes certainly changed since I started Lore Olympus. Back then, I had bad choice in colors and mistakes were made pretty easily. As I began copying how Rachel Smythe used color palettes in the comic, I’ve gotten better at shading. My choice of colors and line art has gotten a bit more crisp now when I draw digitally! Not to mention my sketching style has changed to a bit more sloppy and lazy, yet it looks oddly good.

Which Lore Olympus fan art are you most proud of and why?

THIS ONE. It took me 6+ hours to finish. I might redraw it. Plus, in my head, this is how I imagine them proposing to each other.

If you could body snatch one LO character for a day, who would it be?

DEFINITELY EROS! I love Eros to bits. He gives off pansexual energy just like me and reminds me of how I am with my friends.”.

Do you have any goals or aspirations for your fan art?

I’m hoping to potentially make Animatics and Storyboards along with my own webtoon. However, the problem is that my tastes in storytelling have a lot of triggering and dark themes to the point I highly doubt Webtoon will allow me to put them in comic form. And maybe one day I’ll master the controversial art of drawing furries and scalies so that I can make money doing commissions!

Any advice for someone looking to build their art skills?

Don’t use Gray or black for shading, just please. Don’t do what I did.

Just for fun: Who did you get on this quiz?

Oh look at that. I got Fudge XD
