Episode 206: Bon Appetit

Editor: Bre Boswell
Released: 6 Aug 2022

An Olympus news crew reports on “Lore in the making…the fight of the century.” Kronos and Persephone class. She creates rivers and mountains and valleys and trees while Kronos berates her. Yet, she continues to create, seemingly paying no mind to his taunts, though she does manage to stab him with part of a growing tree.

A glowing bident appears, and finally she speaks stating “this realm is mine.” When Kronos goes to choke her, she opens her mouth and countless bees emerge, attacking him. She then says she’ll bring Tartarus to him in the embodied form of a gargantuan monster. Many times larger than Kronos with multiple limbs and horns, Tartarus stalks to Kronos and devours him. Kronos’ last words are a promise to see Persephone again very soon.

Tartarus asks Persephone to visit him and she agrees, kissing his forehead before they both transform - him to his previous state at one with the realm and her to her smaller goddess form.

“You saved us. You saved me.”

Hades

Hades catches her as she falls, amazed that she saved both him and the realm. He mentions the pomegranate and she jokes that “I suppose you’re stuck with me know.”

As bees buzz around, various reunions occur - Ares and Zeus, Morpheus and Hypnos, Hecate and Hermes, Hebe and Hera, Poseidon and Amphitrite, Athena and Hestia, and finally - Demeter and a mortal queen.

In the final panel, Hades and Persephone embrace in bed, fully clothed.
