Somewhere in the house, Aphrodite looks towards them, pondering. Ares urges her to just tell Eros (about Ampelus) already, but Aphrodite insists that he is close to getting it.

On the other part of Olympus, Artemis walks towards Hestia’s house, also deep in thought. She thinks about her relationship with her brother, how they are not just siblings, but perfect halves of each other. Yet, they are still not equals.

Eros sits by the pool, lost in thought. Sweet Pea is seen swimming near him. Ampelus calls for him, and asks him how he’s feeling. She sits down next to him as Eros admits he is not feeling very good. He confides that he hates how Artemis is in the middle of all this, but admits that he can’t tell Artemis what happened to Persephone. Eros is not exactly the most trustworthy god in the Pantheon due to his reputation as a gossip, so it feels nice to be trusted by someone. He doesn’t want to lose that trust.

“I can string a bow in the blink of an eye, make a wolf tell me its deepest secrets, and move the bright moon with my will. I’m silver-footed and glorious. But even so, I’ll never be golden. And what is the moon in the presence of the sun? One half, but not a true equal.”

Hestia and Athena welcome her in, but Artemis barely registers their words. She sits by them at a table to have the TGOEM meeting, and their voices blur. in the background as they talk. Artemis frowns, thinking about her abilities, and how despite all that, she will never be golden. However, she still loves her brother, and she thinks about how they’ve always looked out for each other, how she knew him but don’t really know Persephone that well.

Still, she acknowledges that something isn’t right.

As she thinks about how she hates secrets, she realizes that Athena and Hestia are in a relationship. Startled, Hestia tries to explain, but Artemis, already upset and fed up, starts to walk away. She cries out in irritation about how Persephone is “off playing house with Hades” and how she and Athena have been a thing behind her back. Athena asks if she could explain it all to her, and Artemis complies.

Meanwhile, Hermes is still in house arrest. As he is working painstakingly on a cat puzzle, a knock comes at the door. It’s Artemis. Teary-eyed, she tells him something is wrong about Apollo and Persephone. Hermes invites her to come in.
