Episode 138: Shiny Rocks
Editor: Bre Boswell
Released: 3 January 2021
Hades takes Persephone to the roof. He creates large gems he calls “shiny rocks” and proceeds to hit one with a golf club. The rock shoots across the Underworld sky, Nyx’s home, and the mortal realm where a child remarks that it’s a shooting star. He gives a gem-like rock to Persephone who promptly knocks out a window. They laugh and flirt, and Hades stands behind her to teach a better stance. Persephone blooms orchids on both her and Hades.
“She couldn’t possibly be a fertility goddess… No one in the pantheon could even fathom what that really means. The truth behind this just is an old wive’s tale as far as anyone is concerned, and I’d like to keep it that way.”
Zeus
Meanwhile, Zeus wonders if it’s true Persephone is a fertility goddess, implying he’d like to keep it a secret because there is something else going on there. He laments that both Hermes, Hades, and Apollo are all interested in Persephone, as Ares sneaks behind him in a “Team Persephone” t-shirt. Zeus puts Hermes under house arrest until the trial.
Walking down the streets of Olympus, Thanatos talks to Minthe on the phone. He mentions that he saw Hades and Persephone in the office, and that Hades is not interested in Minthe anymore. When she yells and hangs up on him, he wonders why he got involved, just as he sees Daphne sneaking out of a window in an alleyway.
